summary of novel 'THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME' GALLANG RIANG GEMPITA

SUMMARY

Her name was Pyrrha, Pyrrha Kinandhany. Smell of smoke and wine had near her body. Colorful of pain decorated her nail. In empty life she spent her time in the dark. Every time wine, nicotine and canvas was her friend. The anxiety of her heart made her to do it.’ Where is my home?  Who are my parents? I did not remember it.’ She thought it.

But, there was different when Pyrrha knew Kinan. The angel had sent to her, Kinandhana Putra. He made her feel not empty an alone. When she need him, how the way he came at her on time. The seed of love grew in their heart.

When Pyrrha was falling in love, and knew if she cannot life without Kinan. Many problems came to her. Deucalion came and told her if he been her brother. He came when Pyrrha miss with her family, make she got choice between Deucalion and Kinan.

Deucalion is liar. She knew that, after she left Kinan and choose Deucalion. Kinan lost and made Pyrrha went to the dark again. She was been drug addict. But, Kinan came to Pyrrha  and saw Pyrrha in bad condition, it made him was sad. Not too long Kinan came back, Kinan left Pyrrha again. Kinan lost. Pyrrha searche him an know that if Kinan lost in the mountain, Pyrrha could not think why Kinan did it again. She thought he was bored with her.

Kinan had found. But, Pyrrha was disappointed with him and she went away. In the seclusion she met wibi who made her forgot with Kinan. An make Pyrrha so enjoy with her life.

Oh no! Kinan came and took her. Because Pyrrha still ha love for him so she back to Kinan whitout thought the feel of Wibi. And she got married to Kinan. She make paint exhibition for the last performance in the painting. How about Wibi? He died because he had sick. When know that, Pyrrha very sock but she must look the future, right. She be strong to got it, although she was difficult to facing it.

REVIEW OF THE NOVEL

Introduction:

The Way You Look at Me is a novel created by Gallang Riang Gempita was born Singaraja Bali. It is catalogue in publishing (KDT). The page of novel is 206 (two hundret and six) pages. And the wide is 13 x 19,5 cm. It the first publishing, on January 2011. The publisher is Frame Publishing. This novel tells about Phyra and Kinan with the journey of love.

Design of cover

Actually the cover is good, but the combination of the colour need to evaluation again because the cover looks so pale and less interesting. In the cover, colour of writer’s name it’s so bright and contrast with the background. It make do not interest. In the prolog, the colour of font and the background are not available; both of them look so pale.

b.      Evaluation 2

Content of novel:

When we first open the novel, the content just written the title. It is make paper look so empty. Then when you open again you will look the content like the first you see but there is name of writer, so the first page like useless. The space between titles and name of writer are not available.

The content of the novel still mix with other language, English. It is better if it just Indonesian language. It is for teach us to love our language. And the plot of story still looks so forced. The climax with the resolutation there are inelegant so it make the reader ambiguous and confused. The paper which its use is rough and less interesting.the sentence still need to edit again because many word still minus.

Interpretation

Although this novel have minus but it's have the advantage. This novel tells us much moral value. Such as:  how the life Pyrrha without family. But she can get her dream. It can be, because she effort to get it. The sentences also easy to understand. It was good because this novel made by student of senior high school. So it so good to take the moral value. Enjoy to reading it.
